Summary of Role: 

WORLDZ is on the hunt for a passionate, self starter and tenacious Director of PR & Media Partnerships to join our world class team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about shaping tomorrow’s culture, resourceful and forward thinking. The ideal candidate has heavy experience securing organic media mentions on top-notch publications, securing talent, and initiating and executing on media partnerships.  

Role & Responsibilities: 

  • Identify, engage and execute a strategic public relations strategy with wish-list media outlets including the New York Times, WSJ, Fast Company, Wired, Ad Age, WWD, Hollywood Reporter, TNW, Recode, etc.
  • Establish creative partnerships with key media groups such as Vice, Mic, Bloomberg, GirlBoss, CoolHunting, Complex, etc, to grow awareness for WORLDZ and membership
  • Pitch unique and innovative story angles to various media outlets pertaining to WORLDZ
  • Manage existing PR Agency relations
  • Use a data-driven approach to drive measurable qualified leads and sales
  • Think creatively to ideate stunts, viral content, and other 'movement' driving activities
  • Master solid communication skills with utmost attention to detail to create programs, develop content, and deliver clear and compelling strategies
  • Work with Strategic Partners & Masters to craft newsworthy content to be shared at WORLDZ
  • Must be an excellent writer and work effectively across a wide range of teams
  • Engage and work with Talent for best execution and to complement our mission and vision
  • Research all prospective targets and utilize Salesforce to categorize and organize all contacts

Knowledge, Skills, Ability: 

  • 7+ years experience working in media or at a PR Agency
  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A) or equivalent, preferably in Business, Communications, Political Science, and/or Arts
  • Extremely organized, exceptional communicative skills, and an ability to work and think independently
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with quick deadlines
  • Salesforce experience is a plus
  • Knowledge and passion for the youth industry, media, marketing, and culture
  • Ability to develop and maintain deep relationships with various media outlets including press, bloggers, and influencers as a WORLDZ spokesperson
  • An existing rolodex of media contacts is a plus
  • Tenacious and a team player is a must
